ITINERARY
Day 1 - CLARE COAST
Arrive at Shannon Airport where your Experienced Driver-Guide will be greeting you. Board YOUR Luxury Touring Vehicle and
depending on your arrival time you may wish to visit nearby Bunratty with its
19th century folk village. You'll also see 15th century Bunratty Castle. One of Ireland's oldest pubs is Durty Nelly's PUB dating to the early 17th century. Depart Shannonside and tour through County Clare, along the Clare Coast to Lahinch. You may wish to visit the Cliffs of Moher which rise 700 feet above the sea and extend five miles along the coast. Stay in Lahinch this evening.
Day 2 - BURREN & GALWAY
Drive on through the Burren country - an area of limestone hills which supports a wide range of flora. Continue on to Galway. Christopher Columbus stopped here on his way to the New World. Explore Galway's pedestrianized streets and see the Claddagh District, Eyre Square, Spanish Arch, Shop Street lined with shops, pubs, book stores, galleries and restaurants. Stay In Galway City this evening. Explore Galway City tonight.
Day 3 - ARAN ISLANDS &
CONNEMARA
Drive along the shores of Galway Bay to Inverin and Connemara Regional Airport and enjoy an Air excursion to the Aran island - Inishmor - and a two hour tour of the island and visit the ancient fort - Dun Angeus. Continue you drive through the Connemara region which is known for its
mountains, the Twelve Bens and the beauty of the landscape with its changing colors. You may wish to stop in Moycullen and visit Connemara Crystal. Return to Galway City for a leisure evening. Stay In Galway City this evening.
Day 4 - SLIGO AND ENVIRONS
Tour north from Galway through headford to Cong, in County Mayo. This village was used as the set for the John Wayne & Maureen O'Hara movie - The Quiet Man. On to Sligo, a county of gentle mountains, lakes and coastline. This area is associated with the great writer: W. B. Yeats. Stay in Sligo Town this evening.
Day 5 - DONEGAL TOUR
Tour north from Sligo to Drumcliffe where you will find the Yeats Center. On through the coastal resort town of Bundoran and Ballyshannon to Donegal Town. Explore the town center with its 15th century Donegal Castle. Do some shopping in Donegal Town and visit 'Woolens & Things' for tweeds
and woolens. Stay in Sligo Town or Donegal Town this evening.
Day 6 - BELLEEK & BOYNE VALLEY CENTERE
You cross into Northern Ireland for a visit to the Belleek China factory and then a
scenic drive across the midlands to one of Europe's great archaeological mysteries, the Boyne Valley Center. with its neolithic burial tombs of Knowth, Newgrange & Dowth, which predate the pyramids. Continue on to Dublin Airport area for your last night in Ireland.
Day 7 - DEPART FOR HOME
Transfer nearby Dublin Airport and check-in for your flight. Depart for home.
