Day 1 - WICKLOW , GLENDALOUGH & AVOCA
Your experienced Driver-Guide will greet you and you board the luxury touring vehicle and tour from Dublin, traveling south through the
Wicklow Mountains and the region known as "The Garden of Ireland." At Glendalough take
a tour of the 6th century monastic settlement, with its round tower and Celtic crosses.
Drive south to Waterford, a bustling town on the River Suir. You can see Reginald's Tower
built a thousand years ago! Thomas Francis Meagher, a General in the Union Army during the US Civil War and the first Governor of the State of Montana, was born here. Stay in Waterford this evening.
Day 2 KILKENNY & THOMASTOWN
From your Waterford base you tour to Kilkenny where you visit Kilkenny Castle and St. Canice's Cathedral. Stop for lunch at Dame Kyteler's Inn. On to Thomastown and a visit to Jerpoint Abbey, dating back to the 13th century. Return to Waterford via Inistiogue and the scenic Nore River Valley. You may wish to vist the House of Waterford Crystal this afternoon. Return to Waterford. Stay in Waterford this evening.
Day 3- TINTERN, KILMORE
QUAY & HOOK HEAD
Tour to Tintern Abbey and visit. On to Ballyhack Castle. Visit the oldest working lighthouse in Europe - Hook Lighthouse. Visit Johnstown Castle with its agricultural museum and gardens. Stop at picturesque Kilmore Quay for lunch. Return to Waterford. Stay in Waterford this evening.
Day 4- CAHIR & CASHEL
Tour along the coast of County Waterford. Tour north to Cahir and stop and see 12th century Cahir Castle, fully restored to its original splendor. On to Cashel and visit the Rock of Cashel - a cathedral fortress dating to St. Patrick. You may wish to view Hore Abbey as well. Stay in Cashel this evening. .
Day 5- LIMERICK & BUNRATTY
Tour through County Tipperary and on to Limerick where you cross the Shannon River and view King John's Castle.On to Bunratty and visit the Bunratty Folk Park and enjoy a medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle. Stay in Bunratty this evening.
Day 6 - DEPART FOR HOME
Transfer to nearby Shannon Airport and check in for flight home.
